Waar serveer je ’m bij?
M.O.B. is the Dão project of three Douro winemakers — Jorge Moreira of Poeira, Xito Olazabal of Vale Meão and Jorge Borges of Wine Soul — who were looking in the cooler Dão for something other than what their own valley gives. Encruzado, Bical and Malvazia, eight months in used barrels. Used oak here gives only texture, no oaky flavour: the wine is firmly built and drily drawn, with yellow fruit, hazelnut and a stony finish. At 12.5% it stays easy in the mouth in spite of that weight.
