D'Oliveira Boal 1977
Region: Madeira
Producer: Pereira D'Oliveira Vinhos Lda.
Why we chose this wine
1977: the year the first Star Wars film reached cinemas. A Madeira from this vintage is a living piece of history — a wine that has been ageing for generations, owing its character to decades of patient cask maturation.
Boal
also written as Bual creates a semi-sweet wine. Most vineyards can be found in Calheta and Camara de lobos with +/- 18 hectares planted. It is one of the easiest grapes because its sweetness makes the wine more accessible.
