Provezende is a very special region in the Douro for white wines. Situated at an altitude of 600 meters with an easterly aspect, it yields fresh, complex white wines of great concentration. Old vines and high altitude are key to the wine's success; the challenge lies in balancing acidity and volume to create a fresh wine with excellent aging potential.The wine displays a very intense, deeply mineral character. The nose is highly complex, featuring superb oak nuances and fine herbal notes perfectly integrated into a citrusy, slightly floral profile. On the palate, it has a commanding presence yet remains refined and delicate, with hints of white fruit and a touch of spice. It is full-bodied without being heavy, offering good concentration and perfectly balanced oak. The finish is highly complex, elegant, and slightly saline. A white wine best enjoyed in a Burgundy glass.
