Castelão from eighty-year-old vines on marl and limestone, whole bunches macerated, twenty-two months in 225-litre barrels and bottled without pumps. Ten and a half degrees of alcohol, and yet complexity twelve: that is the combination Luis Gil is after — little weight, much to say. We were able to secure sixty bottles of it.
