“The new red 2017 Erro 4 Tinto was produced with a blend of different varieties (they don't know what!) that complements the Erro white, produced with barrels of wines from 2017 that were forgotten in the winery. The wines were in barrel for a couple of years, and then they blended it all and bottled it. It has ripeness, 14% alcohol and a more developed and polished palate. It has the rusticity of the wines from the Quinta, with a mixture of berries, herbs and spices, a full-bodied palate and some remaining tannins. 5,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in 2020. It feels quite young and undeveloped. All of these wines age at a very slow pace. 5,000 bottles produced.”

Miguel Louro bought the historic Quinta do Mouro near Estremoz in 1979. At the time there was no winegrowing there (any more).
