Waar serveer je ’m bij?
The same altitude of Portalegre, but six months in amphora and nothing else. Terracotta lets more oxygen through than steel and gives off no flavour itself, which is why here you hear the terroir and not the cellar: Arinto, Bical and Malvasia with a broad, almost clay-like texture above a high line of acidity. Weight eleven and complexity ten — it is the amphora version of what Reguinga does with oak, and in this bottle it is at its most interesting.
Pan-fried chorizo with honey
Grilled mackerel fillet with couscous
Serveren op 11–13 °C
Rui Reguinga was born into a family of winemakers and absolutely wanted to follow in their footsteps. He graduated as an oenologist in the late 1980s and immediately made his first wines in Alentejo.
