A field blend led by Rabigato, fermented partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels, and aged in exactly the vessel it ferments in — so no racking, no extra intervention. Luis Seabra is after a Burgundian elegance in the Douro that almost nobody gets out of it, and in this bottle you see how: high acidity, a narrow and long line, and oak that only gives texture. Weight ten with complexity nine: usable with a warm plate without losing its freshness.
Pan-fried cod with a miso glaze

“The white 2024 Xisto Ilimitado Branco was produced with 70% Rabigato, 20% Arinto and 5% each Gouveio and Códega from different plots in the zone of Mêda on mica and schist soils at 500 to 700 meters above sea level. The full clusters were pressed, the juice let to settle and then fermented with indigenous yeasts and without temperature control. The wine matured with full lees in 228- and 500-liter barrels and 30% in stainless steel. It didn't have any bâtonnage and went through full malolactic fermentation. It follows the path of freshness of the 2023, clean and precise, with a serious palate with a stony sensation. It has contained ripeness, 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.38 and 5.3 grams of acidity and a balanced mouthfeel with very good freshness and acidity. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2025.”
When Luis Seabra told us in 2012 about his plans to make wine under his own name, we signed up straight away. We had known him for 10 years as a winemaker at Niepoort and knew we could not miss this.
