Barbeito Single Harvest 2009
Region: Madeira
Producer: Vinhos Barbeito
This Single Harvest is the result of a blend of grape must from individual vineyards on the south and north coasts of Madeira. Ricardo Diogo harvested the grapes a week before full ripeness and used a horizontal screw press; these two methods resulted in higher acidity in the must. The aging process began in March 2010 using the traditional Canteiro method, with old French oak casks. Barbeito Single Harvest 2009 — 100% Tinta Negra from a single specific harvest, aged using the canteiro method in old French oak casks. Notes of dried fruit, walnut, ripe quince, dried flowers and citrus, with fine, balanced acidity and an elegant finish.| Volume | 50.0 cl. |
