Dourado, the gold label, is the selection of the most concentrated lots of the harvest, bottled separately in a few thousand bottles. Eighteen months in new oak casks — new wood, so the structure stands taut and the wine needs time. Alicante Bouschet in front, with Aragonez and a share of Cabernet Sauvignon; fourteen and a half degrees and eight years in bottle.

Miguel Louro bought the historic Quinta do Mouro near Estremoz in 1979. At the time there was no winegrowing there (any more).
