Reguinga's top cuvée, from the highest and oldest plot he owns. Fermentation in a concrete egg and six months of ageing in oak barrels of 500 litres — large oak, so texture without an oaky flavour, and concrete that keeps the wine moving without adding anything. Weight twelve at complexity twelve: this is the broadest and deepest white wine from the Alentejo that we have, with a low acidity and therefore a wine that leans entirely on volume and length.
Oven-roasted lamb shoulder with chickpeas
Braised pork cheeks with cumin

“The single-vineyard white 2022 Terrenus Vinha da Serra was produced with the grapes form a centenary plot at 760 meters above sea level planted with a field blend of nine varieties but mostly Bical. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in 500-liter French oak barrels, where it matured with the lees and bâtonnage for nine months. It has a golden color and a showy, expressive and creamy nose. It's smoky and spicy and reached full ripeness (it has 13.5% alcohol) but keeps very good freshness and acidity, denoted by the pH of 3.36 and 6.3 grams of acidity. It has quite a lot of oak flavors, but there's also a dusty, chalky texture that I like very much; I guess the oak should integrate with more time in bottle. 1,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023.”
Rui Reguinga was born into a family of winemakers and absolutely wanted to follow in their footsteps. He graduated as an oenologist in the late 1980s and immediately made his first wines in Alentejo.
