Waar serveer je ’m bij?
The heaviest of this house's three talha wines: a field blend in which all the intact parts go into the amphora, and weight eleven in the glass. Clay and oxygen together give it a texture you would sooner expect from a light red wine — broad, dry, with grip on the finish. This is not a wine to put out with an aperitif; this is one that needs a plate with fat and spice to come into its own.

In Vidigueira, wine has been made in amphorae for 2,000 years, but it was always drunk young and locally. In 2019 Teresa Caeiro bottled her family's talha wines for the first time, introducing the world to this age-old tradition.
