After working for seven years as winemaker at Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira set up his own company, Poeira, in 2001, where he could give free rein to his ideas and where he was in control of the entire production process. He wanted a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro.Poeira Vinha da Torre comes from an old vineyard located in Covas do Douro that was planted in 1950. With a huge diversity of grape varieties, stony soil and very steep slopes, with northern sun exposure and at 400 m altitude.
In the nose an elegant and seductive wine. In the mouth the wine shows robust, but balanced and without loss of elegance. A wine with excellent acidity and minerality that lingers for a long time.
