Alvaro Castro quietly stands out almost more with the grandeur of his white wines than his reds. That's no blame for the reds because year after year he makes them even more pared-down than before. It just shows how a rather late vocation for white wine (Alvaro only started focusing on it in 2006) now results in a boon for us all.This is wine that any burgundy lover will savour.
