Drink Me - Bairrada 2025, Nat' Cool Series
Region: Nat' Cool
Producer: Niepoort
The Nat'Cool label can be used freely by other winemakers as long as they respect the rules: natural vinification, no ageing in wooden barrels, light extraction and low alcohol content. In this way, we, as consumers, are assured of maximum drinking pleasure. All wines bearing the label are offered in 1 litre bottles at a reasonable price.
This wine offers an expressive aromatic profile full of freshness and floral notes. It superbly brings out the character of the Baga grape variety and the Bairrada region, with beautiful aromas of strawberries, dried roses and some spices. These notes are part of a minerality reminiscent of the limestone soils of the vines and the Atlantic climate. Fresh, direct and very seductive, this wine is light with a taste of coming back! Serve chilled.

Waar serveer je ’m bij?
At Niepoort, Nat'Cool is not a style but a rulebook: natural vinification, no oak, and it has to drink light. This Baga keeps to it strictly — minimal extraction, a short stay in steel, eleven degrees of alcohol. What you get is the scent and the tension of the grape in their most direct form.

Dirk Niepoort's impact on the Portuguese wine landscape can hardly be overestimated. When he took over the helm from his father Rolf in 1990, as the 5th generation of the originally Dutch Van der Niepoort family, it was immediately clear that something was about to happen.
