Waar serveer je ’m bij?
Old vines, foot-trodden but deliberately little extracted — António Madeira wants you to recognise the grapes, not the extraction. Eighteen months in neutral French wood and a further three in steel let the wine settle before bottling. Baga, Jaen and Tinta Amarela together give line and length without sharp edges.

Antonio Madeira grew up in Paris, but became completely hooked on the Dão during summer vacations with his grandparents. In 2010, he decided to look for old vineyards in the region and found refuge in the cellars at Alvaro Castro (Saes/Pellada) to make his first wines.
