Waar serveer je ’m bij?
Pure Alvarinho from the Douro, and fourteen years old: that is a combination almost nobody still has lying in the cellar. Our technical sheets give no vinification for this vintage, but what happens in the glass is clear enough — the fruit has drawn towards honey, dried apricot and nut, the texture has turned waxy and the acidity that keeps Alvarinho alive for so long is still there. Complexity twelve at a weight of ten: a bottle for anyone who wants to see how far Portuguese white can go.
