Why we chose this wine
DELITO a “crime” committed for the second time, coming from Ribeira Sacra a region that is in our hearts and where we have many friends. The wine comes from old vines where Mencia is the major variety. Aged in used french oak barrels.
Seabra's second 'offence' in Ribeira Sacra (Galicia), where he also works as a consultant: old Mencía vines on steep slate and granite terraces along the Sil. When Luis Seabra told us in 2012 about his plans to make wine under his own name, we signed up straight away. We had known him for 10 years as a winemaker at Niepoort and knew we could not miss this.
