Even though Vale Meão is today primarily famous for its red wine, the quinta was initially planted at the end of the 19th century for the production of Porto and you need to explain little to the descendants of Dona Ferreira about the production of class A port wine ( Vito Olazabal was director of porto house Ferreira for many years).
