Jorge Moreira cherishes his old vineyards with mixed plantings of local varieties, but nevertheless planted a small plot with Cabernet Sauvignon as an experiment. Soon that vineyard proved to be particularly erratic and only showed its full potential in special years. In 2009, everything seemed to fall into place and Jorge opted for a blend combining 20% Cabernet with Sousão and Touriga. 20 months of barrel aging and several more years of bottle aging later resulted in the first Poeira Impar, an impressive variation on the classic Poeira. Jorge produced 2,500 bottles. We managed to secure 180 for Belgium. 'Impar' literally means odd and thus refers to the unique character the vineyard has, which will thus only produce a special Poeira Impar in special years.| Volume | 75.0 cl. |
