Mario Sergio has been making uncompromising wines in the Bairrada for decades. As a result, each bottling bursts with character. The wines also have a seemingly endless storage potential.This is a white wine with the necessary fullness yet a striking mineral character.
For the price, it is a very good wine and its storage potential is significantly longer than comparable wines.

Waar serveer je ’m bij?
The fermentation here happens in wooden barrels and entirely on the grape's own yeasts, with nine months of ageing in barrel afterwards. That fermenting in oak instead of in steel is what sets the reserva apart from the ordinary branco of this house: the oak note sits in the wine rather than on it, and the palate is creamier and broader. Bical and Maria Gomes, weight ten with an acidity that lies lower than in the entry-level wine — so less knife and more volume.
