Frederico and his father Mario Sergio are the third and fourth generations making wine in the north of Bairrada, and Baga keeps the lead role there — here with some Touriga alongside. At tannin four this is the firmest bottle of our Bairrada, at a weight of nine: the structure comes from the grape and not from the alcohol. That calls for fat on the plate, not volume.

“The regular red 2022 Reserva Tinto was produced with 60% Baga and 40% Touriga Nacional, fermented with full clusters in lagar and aged in well-seasoned oak casks. It has a nose of wild berries, herbs and flowers with a touch of earthy rusticity and hints of honey and beeswax. It's medium-bodied and juicy, with good ripeness, 13% alcohol and fine, chalky tannins. It's ideal for the table. 9,897 individually numbered bottles produced.”
Frederico and his father Mario Sergio are the third and fourth generations of the Nuno family who make wine in the north of the Bairrada region. They make wines and espumantes that are very easily recognizable for their distinct character.
