Luis Seabra was determined to produce wine in Vinho Verde and Dão in addition to his home base in the Douro Valley. After all, a wine lover like Luis—with a strong preference for the finesse found in regions such as Burgundy—is naturally drawn to the cooler climates and granite soils of both these areas.When a magnificent old vineyard came into view in 2017—located in Dão’s finest sub-region near Vila Nova de Tazem, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela—the decision was quickly made.
And so, the all-too-limited availability of Luis Seabra Vinhos is being expanded somewhat.
