Soalheiro Allo 2025
Region: Vinho Verde
Producer: Soalheiro
This Allo cuvée takes the first 2 initials of the 2 grape varieties that make it up, Alvarinho and Loureiro. The Alvarinho brings the mineral and fruity side to the more floral side of the Loureiro. On the nose, slightly exotic aromas of pear...in the mouth, lively and very greedy. Great accessibility and "drinkability", fresh and salivating finish!

Two grapes from two places: the Loureiro comes from the Lima valley close to the ocean, where that grape becomes most aromatic and freshest, the Alvarinho from Melgaço. All in steel, a few months, nothing more. Eleven and a half degrees is low enough to drink two glasses of it without noticing, and the acidity is among the highest in our range. The lightest wine in the whole Soalheiro range, and deliberately the least complicated.

In 1982, the Cerdeira family was the first to rejoin the tradition of quality wines based on the local Alvarinho grape. João Antonio Cerdeira planted the first vines to that end in 1974, and it is those old vines that still provide the grapes for the top cuvée 'Primeiras Vinhas' today.
