De olijfolie van de familie Madeira was onze eerste ontdekking in Portugal en door het spoor van de olie te volgen, kwamen we in contact met de wijnen. In 2000 ging het nog om een zeer bescheiden productie, maar sinds de bouw van een nieuwe kelder in 2007 kregen de wijnen van CARM een nieuwe dynamiek.Zo is CARM, dat in Portugal al jaren gekend was voor de beste olijfolie van het land, nu ook een echte referentie voor wijn.

| Vinificatie | The wine is vinified in the cellar of Quinta das Marvalhas in Almendra, in the heart of the Douro Superior.<br />Complete temperature control, after a total de-stemming, the grapes are gently crushed and undergo a thermal shock, followed by a period of cold pre-fermentation maceration of approximately 12 to 24 hours. The must is transferred to stainless steel tanks, where maceration takes place for 8 days at 22ºC. |
